President and Chief Executive Officer

Herb Tieger oversees all aspects of Clarity Consultants. He is responsible for shaping the company’s growth strategy and brand presence and overseeing its entry into new markets. Herb launched Clarity Consultants (formally Pacific NetSoft) in April 1993, and he has positioned the company as a highly regarded resource and national leader in the professional services arena.

“In today’s complex business environment, successful companies must be able to adapt to constantly changing global economies and workforce demographics,” says Herb. “At Clarity, that’s what we do—help companies succeed. Our ability to accommodate the unique business and workforce requirements of our clients and provide them with a talent pipeline of specialized consulting expertise is why we are the preferred partner of corporate leaders in nearly every industry.”

Prior to launching Clarity Consultants, Herb held several leadership positions at CDI Corporation. As the western regional vice president, he oversaw the company’s operations, training, and development.

Herb earned a B.A. in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles and a J.D. in corporate law from the University of San Francisco School of Law.

Alicia Shevetone is responsible for shaping Clarity Consultants’ growth strategy, guiding employee development, and increasing operational efficiencies. She previously served as director of strategic sales and was instrumental in helping Clarity become a leading provider in the professional services arena. Under her leadership and guidance, Clarity has secured long-term partnerships with many global companies, including Wal-Mart, Disney, Wells Fargo, Toyota, and Cisco Systems.

“Expertise without efficiency often translates to blown budgets and missed deadlines,” says Alicia. “Our mission at Clarity is not only to deliver top-tier consulting talent but also an air-tight delivery mechanism that produces diligent account management, nimble back-office practices, and swift procurement compliance. Crossing the chasm from vendor to partner enables us to collaborate with our clients in a way that transcends traditional consulting engagements.”

Prior to joining Clarity in 2000, Alicia worked as a sales executive in the high-tech industry, where she was an outstanding leader known for exceeding business development goals and motivating successful sales teams at Bowne Global Solutions, Corio, and Vantive. She began her sales career as a licensed securities and investment consultant while attending law school.

In addition to her J.D. from Peninsula University (now Lincoln Law School), Alicia holds a B.A. in English from Santa Clara University.

Cristina Mendonca

Cristina Mendonca is responsible for all aspects of Clarity Consultants’ consulting services function. She was instrumental in aligning the Consulting Services, Sales, and Marketing divisions to ensure a seamless and superior customer service experience. She also oversees the development and implementation of various initiatives to support Clarity’s growth strategy and shape its position as an industry thought leader. Cristina previously served as the director of consulting. In that role, she restructured the consulting services team and implemented processes and operational procedures to streamline efficiencies regarding the delivery of services.

“A successful project requires consultants with just the right combination of technical skills and personality,” says Cristina. “At Clarity, we’ve assembled a seasoned fulfillment team and implemented specialized and proprietary processes that are the basis of our success in the professional services arena and that will enable us to provide exceptional, high-quality service as we continue to grow.”

Prior to joining Clarity, Cristina was an analyst, sales engineer, and technical marketing manager in the technology industry. She was integral in shaping the processes and structure of several organizations, including Portal Software (acquired by Oracle) and Kaiser Permanente.

Cristina holds an M.B.A. from San Jose State University and a B.Sc. in management information systems from Santa Clara University.

Joe Gruttadauria

Vice President of Sales

Joe Gruttadauria leads Clarity’s team of business development managers, setting the strategic direction for its sales activities.

Joe has a solid track record in sales leadership, building several sales teams from the ground up and taking an equal number of established teams to new levels of productivity and profitability. Joe’s career encompasses more than 25 years’ experience in workforce planning and learning and development.

“There’s a growing demand for qualified consultants and I think a lot of this has to do with the skills shortages corporations are experiencing more and more,” says Joe. “The companies that are able to establish workforce planning strategies that allow them to effectively tap into intellectual capital on demand will be the ones with a competitive advantage now and in the future.”

Before joining Clarity, Joe was responsible for Sales at enterprise human capital management software companies such as Peoplefluent and Softscape. Joe was also a founding member of the senior management team of Centra Software, a company that provides eLearning services and enterprise software. In previous roles, he has had full responsibility for the professional services and sales divisions of several other enterprise software companies including SAP and Oracle Corp.

Joe holds an M.B.A. from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Business from State University of New York, and has served as an adjunct professor for the graduate school of business at Philadelphia University.

Christina Ngo

Vice President of Finance

Vice President of Finance

Christina Ngo handles all aspects of Clarity Consultants’ financial functions, including controllership, financial planning and analysis, payroll, tax, and audits. She previously served as accounting manager. In that role, she was responsible for implementing the processes and systems needed to support company growth and daily financial operations.

“Clarity Consultants is dedicated to providing high-quality and efficient customer service,” says Christina. “Our integrity, teamwork, and commitment to excellence across all divisions of the company, along with an Accounting department that is flexible and responsive to the individual needs of our clients and consultants, are the reason we can make that promise.”

Prior to joining Clarity, Christina held several leadership positions at a large Silicon Valley technical staffing provider. She managed payroll for more than 2,000 contract employees, oversaw collections, and processed internal payroll.

Christina received her B.A in finance from San Jose State University.

Stephen Debruyn manages Clarity Consultants’ global brand positioning and oversees marketing strategies and communications across all company divisions.

“Business communications are going through a period of profound change,” says Stephen. “At Clarity, we are adapting to that change by building a seamless presentation of the brand across today’s multitude of online and offline channels and incorporating our thought leadership position as the preferred strategic insourcing provider of the world’s best known brands.”

During his more than 15 years in marketing, Stephen has delivered groundbreaking and commercially successful innovations in marketing and communications as well as operations, product development, and client services. Prior to joining Clarity, Stephen held various executive leadership positions, including vice president of marketing at Cision, a public relations services firm. He also consulted for many FORTUNE 500® firms, including Procter & Gamble, BMW, Cisco Systems, and NEC.

Stephen holds an M.B.A. from the University System of New Hampshire and a B.A. in linguistics from the University of Amsterdam.

Brenda McNabb is responsible for providing leadership and mentoring within the internal consulting services function. She also partners with the sales division to address complex client needs. She is a member of the Clarity leadership team. She helps formulate strategies to increase Clarity’s global network of top consultants and develop best practices to maintain outstanding consultant performance and uphold client satisfaction. Brenda joined Clarity Consultants in 1999 and previously held positions in operations management at the company.

“Our processes at Clarity have been developed over the course of many years in which we have served many of the top corporations in the world,” says Brenda. “Our intellectual capital lies in our specialized processes and seasoned and dedicated staff who are relentless in their work ethic, professionalism, responsiveness, and focus on a successful outcome on every client engagement.”

Brenda’s background includes recruiting for the Strategy and Business Operations, Corporate Development, and New Business Development teams at Google. She began her career as a project manager in engineering consulting, where she acted as a liaison between corporations such as Shell and Chevron and federal, state, and local government agencies on regulatory compliance projects.

Brenda holds a B.A. in Social Science with an emphasis in Environmental Studies and Economics from San Jose State University.
